BESS Urnäsch I & II

two separate battery storage systems in Urnäsch AR as project developer and general contractor, with a total output of 8 MWA and a capacity of 25 MWh are realizing BESS Urnäsch I is being built for the Urnäsch electricity company , and BESS Urnäsch II for a private investor.

project utilizes proven technologies from SMA and Hithium. Commissioning is scheduled for March/April 2026. The battery storage systems will contribute to grid stability, better integrate renewable energies, and create new economic opportunities for operators and investors.
