Under brilliant spring skies, the groundbreaking ceremony for the battery storage project in Bonaduz took place on Thursday, March 5, 2026. The official start of construction marked the beginning of a facility that will make a significant contribution to the stability and flexibility of our energy system.

With a power output of 50 MW and a storage capacity of 110 MWh, the battery storage system is of considerable size. Systems of this magnitude are a key component of the energy transition, as they support the integration of renewable energies and help to keep the electricity grid reliable and stable.
